Correlation of the Need for Orthodontic Treatment between the self-perception of Chilean adolescents aged 14 to 18 years and the dentist’s diagnosis.

Background: To correlate the need for orthodontic treatment between self-perception of Chilean adolescents from 14 to 18 years old with observation a dentist using same assessment scale, as well determine if covariates such gender, age and type school influence adolescent examiner. Material Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study aged public, subsidized private schools in Temuco, Chile.
